Our client, Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN) is committed to protecting and improving the health of all South Australians by providing leadership in health reform, public health services, health and medical research, policy development and planning, with an increased focus on wellbeing, illness prevention, early intervention and quality care. YNLHN manages the delivery of public hospital services and other community-based health services across over 20 sites in the Yorke and Northern SA region.
The newly created role of Director, Safety and Quality is now available for a suitably qualified and experienced professional. You will provide expert level strategic and operational leadership, management, governance and direction to assist YNLHN to achieve strategic priorities, meet deliverables and fulfil accreditation requirements.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and leading a team of 8 direct reports, you will design and implement a systematic and robust governance framework for safety and quality within YNLHN that encompasses staff, consumers and stakeholders, employing best practice in everything you do.
With oversight of the Safety and Quality Directorate, you will direct its activities ensuring that effort is aligned to the development, implementation and management of safety and quality systems, practices and education to support the workforce in delivering a high standard of safe, effective and reliable care.
You will oversee the provision of expert advice on safety and quality matters to inform clinical risk management, accreditation requirements to ensure organisational compliance, and clinical information to support effective decision making at an operational and Executive level.
