Our client, the South Australia Police (SAPOL) provides a diverse range of services to the community. These services are aimed at creating a safe and peaceful environment by the minimisation of crime and disorder. SAPOL provides vital services across the State 24 hours per day. The Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) Service sets the strategic direction of how technology is leveraged across SAPOL, including the adoption of new and emerging trends. IS&T supports the operations of SAPOL through the provision of ICT infrastructure and communication platforms, operational software applications and support services.
The outstanding opportunity exists for a Program Director, Mobile Workforce to join SAPOL at an exciting time. You will be part of a dynamic leadership team tasked with delivering tech enabled policing to the frontline; you will also have the opportunity to contribute to a Transformation Program introducing new capabilities across the service.
Reporting to the Head of Program Delivery, the portfolio of work you will deliver under the SAPOL Mobile Strategy will drive the most significant shift towards an entirely digitally enabled workforce, and ensure business efficiencies, Officer and public safety outcomes. Playing a critically important role in providing the functionality, resources and ability to allow SAPOL to continue to meet the evolving challenges and needs of 21st century law enforcement, you will ensure the successful management, delivery and implementation of the Mobile Workforce Transformation Program and associated projects and programs, which ultimately provide a wide range of benefits to SAPOL, associated South Australian Agencies, the Justice sector and the South Australian community.
You will be a highly experienced ICT professional with a sound track record of successfully leading and driving large programs and projects in a large and/or complex organisation. You will be energetic, savvy, commercially astute and an exceptional leader and influencer of a diverse workforce and financial and material resources. Applying strategic initiative to the portfolio will allow you to leverage opportunities, improve quality, minimise risk, and reduce costs and waste associated with individual and collective projects.
This is a hugely exciting role with an incredible remit of deliverables which will ultimately have a positive impact on effective and efficient policing and public safety, and the safety, health and wellbeing of SAPOL staff.
