Our client, the Independent Commission Against Corruption is established by the Independent Commission Against Corruption Act 2012 and its primary functions are to identify and investigate corruption in public administration, and prevent or minimise corruption in public administration, including through referral of potential issues, education and evaluation of practices, policies and procedures.

The rare opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a new Deputy Commissioner.  Reporting to the Commissioner, this critically important position fulfils a pivotal role in providing leadership, legal expertise and strategic thinking to achieve effective operation and management of the Commission.

Reflecting a commitment to integrity, excellence and collaboration, you will hold accountability for organisational performance while ensuring operations are aligned to the Commission’s strategic outcomes, budget requirements, compliance standards and legislative obligations. 

Supporting a workplace culture that is high performing, productive and satisfying for employees, you will have a demonstrated track record of providing outstanding leadership and management of a diverse workforce underpinned by the highest standards of personal and professional integrity. 

You will be an Australian Legal Practitioner of at least seven years’ standing and be able to demonstrate the ability to exercise statutory investigative and examination powers, along with proven experience and success working at a senior leadership level, the ability to think laterally, plan strategically and be innovative.
