Operations and Research Manager, iCCnet - Rural Support Service

Our client, the Rural Support Service (RSS) is a business unit within SA Health that provides more than 90 clinical and business-related services and functions throughout regional South Australia, partnering with and supporting the six regional local health networks (LHNs) operating within SA Health.

The rare opportunity now exists for a proactive, engaging and highly resourceful Operations and Research Manager to join the organisation, leading it’s Integrated Cardiovascular Clinical Network of SA (iCCnet) division. The Rural Support Service’s iCCnet team provides a suite of programs of critical importance to regional LHNs, serving consumers who live throughout regional and rural South Australia including operating a comprehensive remote health monitoring service.

The Operations and Research Manager, iCCnet oversees these programs and services within a complex multi-disciplinary environment and initiates new and major investigations to ensure cardiac services and other chronic diseases continue to meet clinical demand. Accountable to the Executive Director, Rural Support Service, this pivotal role will lead a team and work collaboratively with a range of key internal and external stakeholders.

You’ll work closely with senior scientists across SA Health to provide expert professional advice and define strategies and priorities which drive the implementation of specialist support to regional LHNs in the diagnosis, management and treatment of cardiac conditions, in addition to some general health related conditions. With a proactive mind and focus on industry best practice, you’ll also be responsible for initiating, developing, conducting and supervising research and development programs.

Tertiary qualifications in Science, Applied Science or equivalent, in addition to a high level of scientific expertise, people leadership and interpersonal skills will be essential for success. Post graduate qualifications in relevant fields are desirable.
